Kuwaiti police have mounted a manhunt for a suspect believed to have murdered a local man a few minutes after calling his mobile phone.

The Kuwaiti man, in his 30s, was found dead in the back garden of his house in Kuwait City and his mother said her son went down to the garden just minutes after receiving a phone call, Alanba newspaper said on Wednesday.

“The victim’s mobile phone will play a decisive role in identifying the killer,” the paper said, quoting a police spokesman.

The paper said the mother of the unnamed victim found her son lying in a pool of blood in the garden after receiving three stabs in the chest.
