Policeman sells handcuffs key to prisoners

Kuwaiti authorities arrested a police man for selling the key of the handcuffs to two prisoners indicted in a drug case to help them escape, a newspaper in the Gulf country reported on Sunday.

The two Bedoun prisoners (without identity) confessed they had paid KD140 ($476) to their guard to give them their handcuffs key.

Acting on a tip-off, police found the key in the pocket of one inmate as the two were escorted out of prison to court, the Arabic language daily Alanba said.

“Police sent the two back to jail and arrested their guard for interrogation after they confessed they bought the key to escape.”
