Psychiatrist persuades man not to commit suicide
A Kuwaiti psychiatrist succeeded in persuading a university student not to commit a suicide by jumping from the top of the high campus building, a newspaper in the Gulf country reported on Wednesday.
The university in Kuwait City had called the police to try and dissuade the 19-year-old Kuwaiti student from killing himself after he threatened to jump down if any one comes close to him, the Arabic language daily Alanba said.
“Police failed to convince him, prompting them to call in a psychiatrist…the doctor, who had treated the student from depression, succeeded in persuading him not to jump…the man came down and was escorted by police.”
