Rapist of 8 little girls executed in Saudi

Saudi authorities on Monday executed a local school teacher after he was convicted of raping eight girls aged between six and 12 years over a period of four years.

Newspapers said Mousa Al Zahrani, a father of six, was beheaded in public in the Jeddah after he was sentenced to death by a local court.

In early 2014, an appeals court upheld an earlier court verdict and sentenced the 42-year-old teacher to death after he was found guilty of all charges. The court sentenced him after he was identified by some of his victims in a queue at prison in Jeddah, where he committed his crimes.

Saudi police seized the teacher in 2011 following a massive manhunt across the kingdom. The arrest of the man came just a week after he grabbed his latest victim at a rest house in Jeddah. Nine-year-old Maha recounted her ordeal to the police and asked them to kill the rapist when they arrest him.

Newspapers in Saudi Arabia said the rapist had stalked little girls near rest houses and wedding halls in Jeddah and gave them sweets to lure them into his car.
