Rare cock sold for Dh26,000 in Kuwait

A cock was sold for KD2,000 (Dh26,000) in Kuwait, the highest deal involving a rare breed in the oil-rich Gulf emirate, a newspaper said on Sunday.

The deal was struck between two wealthy farmers at the “chicken bourse” in Kuwait and it involved a cock of a rare breed, 'Al Anba' said.

“It was the highest price for a cock in Kuwait. Normally such birds of rate breed fetch between KD100 and 350,” the paper said.
