Restaurant shut over ‘metal pieces in rice’

Saudi health authorities shut down a popular restaurant after a customer reported that he found metal pieces in a dish of rice he ordered.

Health inspectors visited the restaurant in the Southern Najran province and decided to fine its owner before shutting it down indefinitely.

“The inspectors decided to shut down the restaurant after verifying report by a customer who found metal pieces in a dish of rice,” Sada daily said, adding that the inspectors also discovered that the restaurant violated other health rules.
