Samsung is offering a private island as a gift to anyone who can brave it out in the deserted island for two weeks, armed with nothing but a Samsung device and showcase their image taking capabilities though the Galaxy camera phone.

But the question most of the probably applicants are asking is: Will the device last for these many days. "Will it have access to solar power for recharging the device?"

Samsung says it will select about 16 contestants from across the globe to participate in the reality show SOS ISLAND: SURVIVAL OF THE SMARTEST (https://youtu.be/2qv3rHFgX2A)

Anyone with a valid passport, be available to travel to a destination within the United States on or around September 30 to October 18 and be at least 18 years or older at the time of entry can enter the competition by logging on here. https://sos-island.com/apply

"What would you do if you were stranded on a tropical island with only a smartphone? My name is Les Stroud and this is an official invitation to enter SOS Island!" the invitation says.

In order to win contestants will have the share the images on to the Samsung Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/samsungcamera and those winning the maximum votes will get to win the island.

The reality show will be hosted by Les Stroud of "Survivorman," and will be broadcast starting September 30 on YouTube and Facebook.
