Saudi Arabia to have 10-day Eid Al Fitr holiday

Saudi Arabia’s civil servants will be given a 10-day holiday to mark the end of the fasting month of Ramadan and the start of Eid Al Fitr, newspapers in the Gulf Kingdom reported on Monday.

The holiday will begin on Ramadan 25 and will benefit all employees at government and semi official establishments across the country.

The ministry of civil service has already set the holiday for the public sector but no announcement has yet been made for the private sector, the papers said.

Ramadan, which began on August 1, is expected to end on August 29 or 30.
