Saudi child survives 40-metre fall

An eight-year-old Saudi boy suffered from injuries after plunging down form a 40-mtre-high power generation tower in the Gulf Kingdom.

The boy was playing with friends on top of the tower when he lost balance and fell off the tower in the southern Saudi province of Aseer.

Newspapers said the child suffered from fractures and bruises in various parts of his body and that he was admitted to the intensive care unit.

“He has been seriously injured but his condition has stabilized,” Okaz daily said, quoting Aseer health department spokesman Saeed Al Naqeer.
