Saudi destroys worm-infected imported oranges

Saudi health authorities destroyed a large quantity of worm-infested oranges, which readers said were exported to Saudi Arabia by its enemy.

Authorities in the northern town of Arar seized a large number of orange boxes in the local markets and destroyed them after examination showed many of the fruits were infested with worms, 'Arar' Arabic language daily said.

“Readers commenting on the issue said the organs were exported to Saudi Arabia by its enemies to target citizens,” the paper said without specifying the amount destroyed.
