Saudi ex-executioner attacked

A knife-wielding man on a motorcycle attacked a former Saudi executioner in the Gulf Kingdom but the swordsman escaped unhurt, a newspaper reported on Thursday.

The swordsman, who had beheaded many criminals before retiring, reported the incident to the police in the capital Riyadh on Wednesday, Sabq said.

“Police are investigating the incident which could be the first of its kind in the Kingdom,” the paper said without giving further details.
