An unknown hacker stormed into a government lending bank in Saudi Arabia and slammed its management for delays in providing loans to citizens, saying some people have waited long enough to get a marriage loan.

Surfers of the website of the Bank of Credit and Savings were surprised to see a message dominating the page for several hours, saying a new lending system is a total failure and urging the bank to revert to the old, quicker system.

“I am writing on behalf of those people who have waited for a loan for their families, house reconstruction and maintenance, or marriage but have seen nothing yet,” the hacker said, according to 'Al Taif' newspaper.

“We want the applications by our people to be handled quickly and efficiently…..you have made them wait long enough and some young men seeking to marry seem to be waiting all their life.”

Al Taif said the hacker was reacting to a new lending system in which applicants must send their request for credit by post instead of going straight to the bank and apply. “The old system is much quicker and more efficient,” the hacker said.
