Saudi Imam dies while calling for prayers

A Saudi Imam (mosque preacher) died just after he started Azan (call for prayers) at his mosque in the Gulf kingdom, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

Shayem Al Anzi just sat on the chair and started azan through the loudspeaker at the mosque in the northwestern Tabuk town when he dropped dead on the floor.

“He had always wished to die at the mosque…God the Almighty fulfilled his wish,” the Arabic language daily ‘Sabq’ said.
