Saudi jet returns to airport for engine fault

A Saudi passenger aircraft returned to airport just four minutes within takeoff on Saturday after it developed an engine problem, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

The Airbus 320, owned by the national Saudia Airlines, has just taken off from Riyadh Airport en route to the Southern Abha town when the captain radioed the airport.

'Sada' newspaper said the plane returned to airport and landed safely amidst tight security and deployment of emergency teams. It did not elaborate on the problem or mention how many passengers were on board.
