Saudi killed after car plunges in 400m abyss

A 64-year-old Saudi man was killed when his car plunged into a 400-metre-deep abyss in the Gulf Kingdom after the vehicle’s brakes failed.

Sada newspaper civil defence men spent several hours to retrieve the body of the man in the valley in South Saudi Arabia.

“The man was driving his car in a rugged area when he came close to a dangerous narrow turn…he tried to slow down but the car brakes failed,” it said.
