Saudi marries in Syria…wife killed later

A Saudi man visiting Damascus married a Syrian woman and returned home to get visa for her and arrange for the wedding but a few days later he was told she was killed by security forces, a newspaper reported on Saturday.

The man from the northern Saudi town of Traif had married the girl from suburban Damascus, which has witnessed anti-regime protests along with other parts of Syria for more than seven months.

“As the man returned home and was making arrangements for the wedding, he was informed by his wife’s family that she was killed by security forces,” the Arabic language daily Sharq said.
