Saudi police kill wolf on the run

Saudi police shot dead a wolf which run away from its owner in May after it was reported by a man camping near his village in northwestern Saudi Arabia.

Mashal Al Khateeb was in his tent when the wolf came close, the Arabic language daily 'Ajel' said, adding that he managed to capture the animal after feeding it.

"He then phoned the police, who arrived and shot the wolf in line with orders by authorities," the paper said.
