Saudi restaurant shut for serving garbage

Saudi authorities have shut down a restaurant after finding evidence that it served a customer from waste food in the garbage bin.

Bandar bin Ali Al Shahri said he had just finished his meal at the restaurant in the southern town of Najran when he found out that the meal was given to him from the restaurant’s waste bin, which he filmed and sent to health authorities.

“I was shocked to find out that I had a garbage meal…I immediately informed the authorities which sent inspectors and shut the place,” he told ‘Sabq’ newspaper.
