Saudi TV presenter fired for not being 'pretty' enough

A Saudi TV presenter filed a court case against a TV station in the Kingdom for firing her from work because she was not pretty enough.

The TV presenter has signed work contract with the TV station to work as a TV presenter. But she claimed that later on, one of the executive managers in the station saw her and he was surprised that they offered her a TV presenter's job at the station.

She claimed that the manager said that she was not pretty enough to work as a presenter, and offered her another job as an administrator or back-stage reporter.

She said that the manager was cruel and tough with her, and when she insisted on working as a TV presenter, he fired her. She added that her work contract did not include a three-month probation period.

This incident has caused a wave of anger on the social media, and many on Twitter accused TV stations for looking for the beauty of the TV presenters, and not qualifications.
