A Saudi school boy who was one of the winners of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum awards for academic excellence has died following long illness.
Muhannad Ahmed Madkhali died in his Southern home town of Najran on Monday and was buried on the same day, the Saudi daily Burnews said.
“Muhannad died after a long illness…education officials and other personalities came to offer condolence to his father,” it said.
The paper, which did not specify the illness, said Mohannad is the son of Ahmed Al Madkhali, director of the Arabic language division at Najran education department.
