Saudia aircraft takes off just before landing

A Saudi passenger aircraft took off again just seconds before touching the runway and hovered over the airport for nearly 30 minutes before landing, a newspaper in the Gulf Kingdom reported on Sunday.

The pilot of the Saudi Arabian Airlines flight from Addis Ababa gave no explanation to the panicking passengers as to why he had to abort landing at the airport in the western Red Sea port of Jeddah, Sabq said.“The passengers said they had kept their hands on their heart for half an hour after the plane took off suddenly just seconds before landing,” it said.

“Some of them said they would complain to the Airlines for the pilot’s failure to apologize or give any explanation for this maneuver,” it added, without saying when the incident took place or specifying the type of the aircraft.
