Saudia’s emergency landing for passenger

A Saudi aircraft on a domestic flight made an emergency landing after an old man fell ill, but he died in hospital later, a newspaper reported on Monday.

The Saudia flight 1779 was en route from the capital Riyadh to the Southern Jazan province when the Saudi passenger suffered from health problems, ‘Ajel’ said.

The captain decided to change route and make an emergency landing in the Southern town of Abha to save the passenger’s life.

“The passenger was rushed to hospital by an ambulance but he died later, “ the paper said.
