Two Saudi brothers ended a five-year dispute and were reunited by a mobile phone text message after extensive mediation by relatives and friends failed to end the rift, a newspaper said on Tuesday.
Abdul Hadi from the eastern province of Ihsaa said he had decided to send a SMS to his elder brother in the hope they would end the rift but that he had not expected such a swift response.
“After a rift of five years, the two brothers cried and hugged each other,” Alwatan newspaper said.
It quoted Abdul Hadi a saying he sent the following message to his brother :”Dear brother Abu Mohammed…….please accept my apology for everything…five years of separation are enough to kill me if this
problem continues until the end of this month…again, please accept my apology with lots of love.”
