Smuggled kid found under car seat

Saudi Customs officials foiled an attempt by a local man to smuggle a little boy hidden under the passenger seat in the car as he tried to cross into the Gulf kingdom from nearby Bahrain through the King Fahd Causeway.

Sabq newspaper said inspectors also found liquor bottles hidden in a bag in the car boot, adding that the man claimed the boy is his son.

“The man failed to produce evidence that the child is his son…he was arrested and will stand trial on smuggling charges,” it said, quoting the Causeway Director-General Daifallah Al Otaibi.
