A Saudi girl studying medicine in a British university was awarded a doctorate degree two months after her death, a newspaper in the Gulf Kingdom reported on Thursday.
Shaima Amer had presented a thesis to the college of health in Cardiff University in Wales nearly two months before she fell ill and died in Turkey, Ajel said.
“Her supervisor at the college discussed her thesis at meeting of professors and her relatives and recommended the doctorate degree for her,” the paper said.
The paper quoted relatives as saying Shaima died in September but did not elaborate on her illness.
