Stunned father finds 'dead' son snoring in bed

A shocked Saudi father who was told his son died in a car accident rushed to the boy’s house to break the sad news to his wife only to get another shock but a good one -- his son was alive and snoring in his bed.
 
The father stormed the bedroom, jolted his son out of bed and hugged him so tightly that the boy pleaded with his father to tell him what was going on, the Saudi electronic Arabic language daily reported on Sunday.
 
His father said he was told by a friend that he saw his son’s car badly damaged in road accident just outside the northern town of Laith and that the body was pulled out by the police. The friend phoned the father after he recognised the car and saw the son’s papers scattered on the road.
 
“The son then told his father that a friend had borrowed the car from him and he was very upset when he learned about his death,” the paper said.
 
“Despite the loss of that friend, the father insisted on hosting a big feast for relatives and friends to celebrate his son’s safety and thank God.”
