An Indian man allegedly threatened a woman asking her not to testify in the court against him.  not to testify in a case before the Court, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

MSH, 30, a sales representative, is accused of threatening BMH, orally and through SMS. He claimed to be CID official and a dangerous man who will kill her if she testified before Sharjah Prosecution. He asked her to ignore the prosecution's call to testify before the court.

The victim, BMH, 28, Pakistani, in 2010 witnessed at a parking lot in Sharjah two men assaulting a woman and attempting to drag her out of her car. She testified about the incident in March 2010.

“I stepped down of my car and walked towords the men assaulting the woman, when they saw me approaching they ran away fromo the spot. I called her husband and waited until he arrived. Then I gave my testimony before Sharjah Prosecution. On April 24, 2010, while leaving from work, I received a call threatening to kill me if I testified before the prosecution and the court. He also sent me threat messages.

Noora Humaid, 29, Emirati, housewife testified that BMH was the only witness when she was attacked by the two thieves. After identifying the attackers and making her testimony before the prosecution, BMH informed Noora that she cannot make any more testimonies as she received killing threats.

Police traced the number which belongs to one of the accused's wife.

The court adjourned the case for verdict until March 7.
