Three men kill wolf after chase

Three Kuwaiti men on a hunting safari trip near the Iraqi border shot dead a wolf after failing to capture it alive during a long chase by their four wheel car, a newspaper in the Gulf emirate reported on Saturday.

The three chased the wolf for more than an hour in the hope they will capture it alive after it gets exhausted but its attempt failed, Alanba said.

“They then decided to kill the poor animal by firing four shots at it…they said they did not inform the police about the wolf because they did not want to be seized in possession of guns,” the paper said.

Comments received by the paper from the public slammed the three for shooting the wolf and one described it as an “unjustified killing.”

Another one called the shooting as a “crime and sin” in Islam on the grounds the wolf could be a female tending to its cubs.
