Two Saudi men killed a wolf by sticks and rocks after chasing it in their car through rugged areas in the Gulf Kingdom. The two were then given a hero’s welcome in their village after bringing the dead predator with them.

Yousuf Al Salahbi and Khalid Al Salahbi were on a hunting safari in the mountains in the western province of Mahd Al Dahab (cradle of gold) when they sighted the wolf.

Although they were armed, they decided not to use their guns and to kill the animal in an exciting chase in their four-wheel car.

“After four hours, the wolf was exhausted…we managed to bang our car into it before jumping out and beating it with sticks and rocks until it perished,” Yousuf said, quoted by Saudi newspapers, adding that they were given a big reception at their village for hunting the wolf which had killed many of their sheep.
