An Indian expatriate in Saudi Arabia had apparently thought how nice the two men were when they offered to give him a lift.
He jumped into the car without hesitation but minutes later, he realized how wrong he was.
The two students, aged 19 years each, stopped the car in the middle of the road in a remote area and beat up the man before robbing him of his mobile phone and around SR2,035 (Dh1,993), local newspapers reported on Sunday.
Police in the southwestern town of Baha later arrested the two after the victim gave them the car number.
