Video: 116 Asians convert to Islam in Saudi

One hundred and sixteen Filipinos converted to Islam at the end of a basketball contest in Saudi Arabia after attending a series of lectures on Islam during the games, a newspaper in the Gulf kingdom reported on Sunday.

‘Sada’ published a YouTube film showing a Muslim preacher performing the conversion rituals in a play field in the Eastern port of Dammam.

 
“They voluntarily converted to Islam to join many other Asians who have already embraced Islam in the kingdom,” the paper said, quoting an official at the Islamic Guidance Centre in the city.
