Video: Asian worker made imam in Saudi

A Saudi municipality named a Bangladeshi worker Imam (preacher) at its mosque after the management was impressed by his Quran recitation voice in a film on social networks, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

Fadul Kareem was seen reciting verses at the mosque in the Southern town of Khamis Mushait and was filmed by visitors for his good voice, ‘Ajel’ said in a report “The municipality, after hearing his voice appointed him Imam of its mosque.

“He said he was also made Imam because he memorises the whole Quran,” it said.
