Video: Little girl's burns... or rare illness?

Saudi newspapers on Tuesday carried a film showing a little local girl crying as she appears to be suffering from burn-like bruises on most parts of her body.

Qatar's Al Jazeera news network and Saudi dailies carried the film showing the girl half naked and crying of pain at her home in the Gulf Kingdom.

It was not immediately clear where the film was shot or what the girl is suffering  from, but some viewers speculated that she either had been tortured by her family or housemaid or is suffering from bizarre illness.

“We call on authorities to investigate this film and check whether the child had been tortured with hot oil or is suffering from a rare disease,” the Saudi child care association said in a statement carried by Sada newspaper.
