Video: Man stops praying to fan for worshippers

Feeling sorry for sweating worshippers at the Grand Mosque in Makkah, a man decided to stop praying, grabbed a paper sheet fastened by a piece of wood and started to fan for men praying at the world’s largest mosque.

A 34-second U-Tube video carried by Saudi newspapers showed the man was struggling to ease the scorching heat for the worshippers during evening Ramdan prayers at the Grand Mosque, Islam’s holiest shrine.

The turbaned man himself appeared to be feeling the heat pinch as he kept wiping his face but opted to fan for other worshippers rather than for himself.

“Apparently this man had genuine feelings towards other Moslems and could also be hoping to be rewarded by God the Almighty,” one paper said.
