Video: Petrol tanker rams into car at Gulf junction

A petrol tanker was caught on camera crashing into a car at a key road junction in a Gulf country, killing the car driver before catching fire.

A YouTube film published by the Saudi daily ‘Sada’ showed either of the drivers jumped the red signal while the tanker crossed the junction at a high speed.

The film, which went viral on social media, showed the tanker overturned and caught fire while the other car, a US-made Jeep, was badly damaged.

Sada said the Jeep driver died on the spot, adding that the accident may have taken place either in the Eastern Saudi town of Jubail or in Qatar.
