Video: Saudi weeps after camel falls in manhole

A Saudi farmer wept after his camel fell into a manhole and could do nothing but to call the civil defence to pull it out.

A YouTube film showed the elderly man was talking to his female camel, named Owaisha, which was caught inside the small pit in the western Saudi town of Amlaj.

“Owaisha…oh my God…How did you fall there,” he said, before dropping a bucket of water for the camel. “Have a drink Owaisha…inshallah (God willing) you will be ok.”

'Ajel' Arabic language daily, which published the film, did not say whether the camel was rescued by the civil defence.
