Week-old girl found near mosque

A Saudi man heading for prayers at a local mosque stumbled across a one-week-old girl wrapped in a white blanket, Ajel daily said on Sunday.

The man was about to enter the mosque in the western town of Taif when he hear a baby crying in the area, it said.

“When he came close, he found the girl wrapped in a white blanket…he also found milk and pampers with her,” it said, adding that the man contacted police, who handed the baby to a local hospital.
