Wife inherits Dh67m month after marriage

An Arab woman inherited nearly SR67 million just a month after she married an old Saudi man, who died of a heart attack at his home in the Gulf Kingdom.

The 22-year-old agreed to marry the rich man although he was married and had children from his first wife, Sada newspaper said.

“The Arab wife inherited 67 million riyals after her husband died…his wealth was estimated at SRone billion,” the paper said.

It said the man’s relatives had rejected the woman’s request for her share on the grounds they did not know she was married to him.

“The woman filed a law suit against her husband’s relatives and first wife…the court found that she is entitled for SR67 million,” the paper said without mentioning the husband’s age.
