Woman accuses sorcerer of controlling her

A Saudi woman is accusing an Indian expatriate in the Gulf Kingdom of practicing sorcery to control her and pushing her to marry him.

The woman in the central town of Makkah admitted to police that she could not stop thinking of the Indian cleaner and always wanted to be with him when he came to her house for cleaning, Anbakum daily reported on Thursday.

She said that she could not complain about him because she and her 63-year-old blind father were under his magic spell.

The paper said the 29-year-old woman, who was not identified, hired the 42-year-old Indian to help her father and tidy up their house in the holy city.

“But he managed to control our behavior and then started to molest me with words and movements…I told my father about him but he told me that the Indian man is good and is even better than our people,” she said.

“Suddenly, I started to have an urge for this man and I no longer could stop him or even complain about him…I stopped prayers and left the Quran  memorisation lessons although this man works at a Quran memorisation centre.”

According to the paper, the Indian promised the woman to marry her and take her to his home country after his job contract expires within two years.

“He then asked me to meet him near the Grand Mosque in Makkah…I told my friend about this and she phoned the police,” she said.

“He came to the meeting on time to find the police waiting for him…they found in his possession magic papers, animal skins, threads and pieces of cloth…they also found porno films in his mobile phone.”

The paper said the man confessed to have “cast a magic spell” on the woman with the aim of marrying her.
