A Saudi woman has given birth to quadruplets after more than seven years of marriage, a local newspaper reported on Thursday.

The two boys and two girls, the couple’s first, were born in a Caesarean operation at the hospital in the northeastern town of Arar on Wednesday night, the Arabic language online paper Ikhbariyat Arar said.

Three babies are in a good shape but one girl is in a serious condition at the intensive care unit, the paper said.

“I thank God the Almighty for this boon after we waited for more than seven years,” the paper quoted their father, Nayef Toumi, as saying.
