Woman drives car in Saudi capital

A veiled Saudi woman got behind the wheels and drove a car in the middle of the capital Riyadh, defying a ban on driving by females in the conservative Gulf kingdom.

A YouTube film, which went viral on social networks, showed the woman who appeared calm as she cruised on busy streets in Riyadh at night.

Newspapers said the woman drove and posted a film on social media following encouraging statements last week by Saudi deputy crown prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz.
