A Kuwait court fined a Gulf woman KD1,500 ($5,100) for insulting a traffic police officer who stopped her and gave her a ticket for violating traffic rules, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.
The unidentified woman had sworn at the officer and threatened that she would file molestation charges against him in case he gives her a ticket, the Arabic language daily Alwatan said.
The court acquitted the officer and fined the woman KD1,500 in damages for the officer and KD200 for the court.
