Woman in “Clorox” suicide attempt

An Asian female cleaner in Saudi Arabia tried to commit a suicide by drinking a bottle of Clorox she was using to protest mistreatment by her employers but she was saved, a newspaper reported on Monday.

The unnamed woman told police investigators that she tried to kill herself because of persistent delays in payment of her monthly wage, bad housing and maltreatment by the employing company, Sabq said.

“The woman is still lying at the hospital after receiving treatment...doctors said she survived because the Clorox bottle she used was diluted.”
