Woman thrown out of mall for nail polish

Saudi Arabia’s feared religious police expelled a local woman from a major shopping mall for having polish on her nails after a heated encounter during which the woman filmed them on her mobile. She then published the film on U-Tube, prompting their chief to open an investigation into the incident.

Newspapers in the Gulf Kingdom said nearly one million people had already viewed the film which showed bearded members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice shoving and shouting before police men entered the mall in Riyadh and intervened.

“It is not your business…show me what you can do,” the woman screamed at the Commission members in the three-minute film.

Commission officials said its director decided to open an investigation into the incident which attracted a large crowd of shoppers at the mall.
