A 50-year-old Saudi woman who vanished while with her husband at hospital was found wandering in a nearby lane on the verge of collapse nearly four days after she went missing, press reports said on Wednesday.

Fatima Al Shahrani, known as Umm Saeed, was rushed to hospital in the southern town of Khamis Mushait for urgent kidney dialysis after she missed a treatment session just before she disappeared, Sabq said.

“She just left hospital on her own and wandered around…she got lost in bad weather conditions,” said her husband, Saeed Al Shahrani.

“She was on the verge of collapse and the first question she asked us when we found her was ‘why did you leave me.”

Sabq said teen age relatives found Umm Saeed near an old school after searching most nearby areas. “When she saw them, she rushed to them and started to cry….she said she had been in that place for four days without food.”

Umm Saeed went with her husband to the hospital in Khamis Mushait for kidney dialysis at noon on Saturday and was still missing late Tuesday.

“I just left her in the check up room and went to see the doctor and finish procedures for dialysis…when I returned to the room, I could not find her,” Shahrani said after his wife went missing.

Shahrani had told the paper that his wife needs to have regular kidney dialysis or she could fall unconscious and eventually die if left without treatment.
