Dubai Police boast the largest fleets of supercars in the world.

However, new reports emerging from the UK claim the Avon and Somerset Police Force have now laid claim to the world’s fastest police car.
According to The Telegraph, the Avon and Somerset Police Force have the 350bhp Ariel Atom – which does 0-62mph in 2.5 seconds.

The report says the super-fast car is part of the police force’s campaign to reduce speeding offences.
Yes, they have done it again.

The Dubai Police’s battalion of supercars includes a McLaren 12C coupe, which does 0 to 97 km/h in 2.9 seconds and 0 to 200 km/h in 8.9 seconds, with a top speed of 333 km/h.

This car can brake from 200 km/h to a complete stop in under five seconds.

It is one of 13 in Dubai’s supercar fleet, which started off with a Lamborghini Aventador.

The multi-million dirham fleet includes a Ferrari FF, a Bugatti Veyron, an Aston Martin One-77, a Mercedes SLS, a Bentley Continental GT and a BMW.

Last November’s Dubai Motor Show also saw the inclusion of two Audi R8s, a Mercedes G class Brabus, a Mercedes SL 63 and a Nissan GTR.

While Dubai Police officials have estimated the complete fleet to be worth Dh15 million, the Aston Martin alone is rumoured to cost Dh11m, while the McClaren is another Dh1.1m as per estimates

However, as far as speed goes, the Avon and Somerset Police Force lay claim to having the fastest with the Ariel Atom.
