Saudi flight changes route for ill passenger
A Saudia passenger aircraft en route to Frankfurt in Germany landed in Rome after a Saudi passenger suddenly fell ill, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.
The plane took off from the Saudi capital Riyadh and was in Europe’s air space when the passenger suffered from a “severe” health problem, ‘Sabq’ said.
It did not elaborate on the passenger’s illness but said the pilot decided to cut short the flight and land in the nearest airport in Rome when he was told the passenger, in his 20s, was in a serious condition.
