Saudi football player held in homosexual case

Saudi Arabia’s religious police arrested a player in a prominent football club in the Gulf Kingdom on charges of involvement in homosexual activity, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

Members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice arrested the player and handed him over to police pending trial.

The Arabic language daily Al Saudeh did not identify the player but said he belongs to a “famous” Saudi club.
