Saudi King appoints Prince Salman bin Sultan as Deputy Minister of Defence

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has relieved Prince Fahd bin Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Saud of his post as Deputy Minister of Defence, a royal order has said.

The order also relieved Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of his post as Assistant Secretary General of the National Security Council for Security and Intelligence Affairs and appointed him as Deputy Minister of Defence in the rank of minister.

Meets Palestinian President 

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has met Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting covered the developments of the Palestinian issue and the efforts being exerted to achieve a fair and comprehensive peace that guarantees the legitimate rights of establishing an independent state for the Palestinian people on their national territories.
