Southeastern Alaska shaken by 6.5 magnitude quake

A 6.5 magnitude earthquake struck southeastern Alaska Monday, the US Geological Survey reported.

The quake, located 83 kilometers (52 miles) northwest of Skagway, Alaska, occurred at 12:31 GMT at a depth of 0.1 kilometers (0.06 miles), the agency said.
